GCSE Results 2017

Chingford celebrate another excellent year for GCSE results

Congratulations to the class of 2017 which show the many excellent achievements for students across the board in a year which has included the introduction of the tougher new GCSE, and the 9 - 1 graded English and Maths qualification.

Several students attained outstanding results. Both Zuzanna Joncyzyk and Andrea Georgiou achieved grade 9s in Maths and one of their English GCSEs awarded to the top 3% of students in the country. A further four students achieved a Grade 9 in one of their English GCSEs – Caleb Hillier-Danes, Trinity Selonke, Liam Andrews and Eleni Colquhoun. The top grade 9 in Maths was also awarded to Sultan Aydemir, Leo Cherry and Luc Cordina.

Nineteen students in total were awarded at least 8 A and A*s (or 7-9) grades.

Overall 76.8% students achieved standard passes in English and Maths which is likely to be above the national average.

On a very vibrant and busy induction day, we are pleased that many of the class of 2017 (and many new students) have chosen to continue their studies in the Sixth Form which celebrated another strong set of results last week.
