Exam Results Press Release
Chingford Foundation School A-Level/P16 Vocational Press Release Summer 2021
We are delighted to announce that our Year 13 students will be leaving Chingford Foundation School with a fantastic set of A-Level results this summer. The students have worked incredibly hard alongside their teachers during uncertain and disruptive times. Despite several obstacles, they have demonstrated superb tenacity and ability to achieve very highly in their qualifications. We hope that these results act as a springboard to further achievements and successes in university, apprenticeships, employment and beyond!
Overall, academic attainment was very high. Overall, 62% of A-Level grades were awarded A*-B. In total, 117 A*-A grades were achieved – 38 of these being graded at A*. 86% of grades were awarded A*-C, and the Sixth Form recorded a pass rate of 99%.
We are very proud of all our students. A number of Year 13s achieved a clean sweep of three A* grades, including Julija Jazuk who has secured her place to study History at Cambridge, Zaina Alavi who will be studying Medicine at UCL, Cira Jarvis who will take up a place at Kings to study Biomedical Science, Liza Lati who will also study at Kings on their Liberal Arts degree, Zack Talgi who has secured a place at Warwick to study Economics, and Lewis Hayhow who will study Engineering at UCL.
Across our three vocational courses, 100% of students passed all qualifications with 36% of entries achieving Distinction or better.
These results mean that our students will be going on to high quality destinations. All of our students who applied to university secured places on degree courses, which comprised 76% of the year group. A proportion of our students have gone on to commence high level degree apprenticeships and others have gone straight into employment.
We wish everyone in our outgoing Year 13 cohort the very best for the future. All the staff have enjoyed working with this special group of students. Through our alumni programme, we will watch and admire the continued successes of our Year 13s. We will look forward to welcoming them back to the school in January for our annual Leavers’ celebration of achievement event.
