Friends of Chingford School
Happy new year and welcome to 2025!We are the new Chingford Foundation School PTA. This academic year our aims are to help raise money for much needed school equipment, to organise fun and exciting student events, and to engage with our community.
It's your PTA
As parents and carers, you get a say on how we can help the school and support our students. We would love to hear from you.
Get involved
There are many ways you can get involed. Such as attending events, donating items for prizes, volunteering at events, and using the Easyfundraising App.
Easyfundraising App
We are continuing to raise money through the Easyfundraising App. It is free to install using the QR code below, and the retailers you purchase from donate a percentage of the money you spend back to the school with no extra cost to you. With over 7,500 brands, including Amazon, Tesco, Etsy, Argos, Marks & Spencer's, Curry's and more, it’s easy to support us.
Last term’s achievements
The FoCS have already organised and supported many events & activities such as:
A successful and well attended lower school disco, with fantastic student feedback.
We funded the school’s annual senior citizens Christmas party.
Got a private company to donate 1450 selection boxes, which we handed out to students on the last day of term before Christmas.
Furthermore, we provided refreshments at two musicals, a music concert, and Year 11 parents evening.
Future events
This year we are arranging a range of activities and events including a lower school disco, parents quiz night, summer BBQ, sale of personalised bricks for the existing school memorial wall, alongside providing refreshments at numerous school events and parents evenings.

Special appreciation, and thanks.
To Mr Carter for being a brilliant staff liaison for the PTA.
To Ms King one of our school Pastoral Officers and a parent at the school for taking on the role as our group secretary.
To Priority TM LTD for their generous donation of 1450 selection boxes at Christmas.
To last terms volunteers; Tracey, Danielle, Claire, Silvia, Aiste, Angela, Zulekha, Lisa, Gemma, Natasha and Jihanna. Without their help, some of the events would not have been possible.
And an extra special thanks you to the wonderful Keith Taylor for all his help over the years with the old pre covid PTA and now helping us to start up this new group. He is one of the many unsung heroes of our school community. Thank you for everything you do Keith!
