Instrumental Music Lessons

At Chingford Foundation School, we are proud to offer instrumental music lessons to students who wish to learn an instrument or continue their musical journey. Learning an instrument develops confidence, creativity and focus while providing an opportunity to perform and collaborate with others.
Lesson Information

-
Lessons are available on most orchestral instruments as well as piano, guitar, ukulele, bass guitar, drum kit and voice.
-
Each student receives 10 individual lessons per term (30 lessons across the academic year).
-
Lessons are 30 minutes long and take place during the school day on a rota basis, or at a fixed time before or after school.
-
Lesson timetables are displayed on the noticeboard outside the Music Department.
-
It is each student’s responsibility to check and attend lessons on time.
-
All lessons take place in the school’s practice rooms.
- Individual lessons in music theory, composition and song writing are also available.

Communication and Progress
Parents and carers are encouraged to provide a small notebook to help communication between home and the instrumental tutor.
