20 August 2026 Chingford Foundation School Celebrates Strong GCSE Results Students at Chingford Foundation School are celebrating a strong set of GCSE results this year, with the majority of students achieving Grade 4 or above and well over half securing Grade 5 or above. English results were a particular highlight, with over three quarters of students achieving at least a Grade 4, an improvement on last year. Students also made excellent progress from their individual starting points, averaging a quarter of a grade above target across their subjects. 182 grades were awarded at Grade 8 or 9, with several students achieving outstanding individual results across the year group.
13 August 2026 Chingford Sixth Form Celebrates Excellent Post-16 Results Chingford Sixth Form's 2026 A Level and vocational results: 96% pass rate, with half of all A Level grades at A*–B. 73% of students are progressing to university, with over 30% securing places at Russell Group universities. Standout achievers include Emily Coleman (A*, A*, A*, KCL), Fabian Ozdoba (four A Levels including three As, Imperial College), and Alexia Ailenei (A, A, A, UCL).
21 July 2026 CFS Music Updates
12 June 2026 Silver Assessed expedition Well done to our Silver Duke of Edinburgh groups who successfully completed their expeditions through the Peak District. Over three days the students navigated themselves through the countryside, carrying everything they needed to survive and thrive in wind and sun. The groups were incredibly positive and enthusiastic. It was great to see the students enjoying themselves in the great outdoors for a few days.
12 June 2026 Silver Practice Expedition Our silver groups' practice expedition involved the students' first introduction to the bigger hills in the Peak District. The groups tested themselves, their kit and equipment to know what they are letting themselves in for. All the students completed their training expedition and are in a good position to attempt their qualifying expedition in a few weeks time.
8 June 2026 CFS Volunteering success In recognition of the volunteering completed by students taking part in the DofE award this year.

2 March 2026 Jack Petchey February Award - Florence Anderson Dunbar Chingford Foundation School is proud to celebrate Florence as our February Jack Petchey Award winner. Nominated by Mr Carter, she has shown remarkable growth in confidence, musical performance and student leadership within Zeus House, making a lasting contribution to school life in Chingford.
12 February 2026 Scarlett Allen Crowned Grand Champion and Selected for Youth Summit in the USA Scarlett Allen achieved 1st place at her recent Cheerleading competition and was crowned Grand Champion as the highest scoring team overall. Following this outstanding result, she has now been selected to compete at the prestigious Cheerleading Youth Summit in Tampa, USA.
3 February 2026 Jack Petchey Award Success for Derrick Derrick, a student at Chingford Foundation School, has been awarded a Jack Petchey Award in recognition of his outstanding leadership, commitment, and positive impact across the school and wider community. Through roles including Head Prefect, House Leader, student mentor, and participation in enrichment programmes such as Duke of Edinburgh and ORBYTS, Derrick consistently demonstrates teamwork, perseverance, and a strong dedication to supporting others.
2 February 2026 CFS Volunteering success We're delighted to share our certificate from the Duke of Edinburgh's Award, in recognition of the volunteering completed by students taking part in the DofE award this year. Students have taken part in a huge variety of activities, from in-school committees like Green Team and representing their school house, to helping at local youth organisations, volunteering with primary football teams, at brownies and animal stables. Volunteering is one section of the DofE award, that students in years 9-12 have opportunity to earn at CFS. This nationally-recognised award gives the students formal recognition of their CFS values. We are very proud of them.
24 January 2026 Futures Ambition Day Supports Students from Year 7 to Sixth Form Chingford Foundation School hosted Futures & Ambition Day, bringing together employers and education providers to support students from Year 7 to Sixth Form.

26 November 2025 Jack Petchey Award Winner – Denzel (Year 9, Apollo House) Congratulations to Year 9 student Denzel from Apollo House, winner of a Jack Petchey Achievement Award for his dedication to school life and the Drama Department.
18 November 2025 Year 13 Biology Trip Brings A Level Practical Skills to Life Year 13 Biology students visited The Royal Institution to complete an electrophoresis practical session delivered by presenter Jin-Gyu Chang, gaining hands on experience with advanced A level laboratory techniques.
14 November 2025 Students Explore Careers in Advertising at McCann Demand Students visited McCann Demand in London through the Advertising Unlocked programme, gaining insight into strategy, social media and the creation of major advertising campaigns.
14 November 2025 Gold DofE Students Gain Career Insights at Google HQ Students from our Gold Duke of Edinburgh cohort attended a careers training day at Google's London office during the half-term break.
13 November 2025 High School Musical Coming to CFS on 26 and 27 November The Drama Department at Chingford Foundation School is proud to present this year’s production of High School Musical. Students from across the department have been working with great focus and enthusiasm to bring the show to life. Their commitment and teamwork have created a performance that highlights their talent and creativity. Families, friends and members of our community are warmly invited to join us for an enjoyable evening that celebrates drama, music and the spirit of our school. Tickets will be available soon and we will share the booking link once it is confirmed.
10 November 2025 Emir Yilmaz – Jack Petchey Award Winner for October Congratulations to Year 8 student Emir Yilmaz, winner of the Jack Petchey Achievement Award for October, recognised for his positivity, leadership and support of others
9 November 2025 Students Take Part in Remembrance Services Across Chingfor Students from Chingford Foundation School took part in local Remembrance events, laying wreaths and flowers to honour those who served and sacrificed for our country.
