Chingford Foundation School Celebrates Strong GCSE Results
Students and staff at Chingford Foundation School are celebrating another strong set of GCSE results, with students achieving excellent outcomes and making impressive progress across the curriculum.
This year, 69% of all GCSE grades were awarded at Grade 4 or above, while well over half of all grades were awarded at Grade 5 or above.
There was particular cause for celebration in English, where over three quarters of students achieved at least a Grade 4 in English Language, representing an increase on last year. This was accompanied by another strong set of results in Mathematics, as the school continues to build on its successes year on year.
Importantly, students made excellent progress from their individual starting points, achieving, on average, a quarter of a grade higher than their targets across their subjects. These results reflect the ambition and hard work of students, alongside the commitment of staff to ensuring that every young person is supported to fulfil their potential.
182 grades were awarded a Grade 8 or 9. There were some exceptional individual performances across the year group.

The school is immensely proud not only of these exceptional individual achievements, but of the determination and progress demonstrated by students across the entire year group.
We are incredibly proud of our Year 11 students as they receive their results. These results reflect the hard work, determination, and resilience of our students, supported throughout by our dedicated staff and families. We are particularly pleased to see almost 80% of students achieving a grade 4 or above in English with over two thirds achieving a grade 4+ in both English and Maths.
There were some excellent performances across the curriculum as well as outstanding individual results, which is brilliant.

For students, results day marks the culmination of five years of hard work, determination and growth.
