Sixth Form Debating Team Competes at the Houses of Parliament

Our Sixth Form debating team showcased their talent and professionalism in Parliament this week, taking part in a debating competition hosted by Sir Iain Duncan Smith.

The debate was held in a committee room in the House of Commons, where students explored the motion “Is the current NHS funding model fit for the twenty first century?” The team presented thoughtful arguments, challenged opposing viewpoints and demonstrated excellent composure in a prestigious setting.

Diamond Ivanauskas led the team with clarity and confidence. His delivery, structure and strength of argument received particular praise from judges and observers. Although the team were narrowly beaten by the overall winners, Woodbridge, they represented Chingford Foundation School with pride and determination.

Well done to Diamond, Gitika, Thiago and Albert for an outstanding performance and for embodying the ambition and excellence of our school.
