Students Take Part in Remembrance Services Across Chingford

Chingford Foundation School is proud of our students who took part in local Remembrance services to honour those who have served our country.

Students Take Part in Remembrance Services Across Chingford

On Friday 7 November, students attended the Laying of the Flowers ceremony at Chingford Mount Cemetery. They laid a poppy wreath beneath the Cross of Sacrifice to remember those who lost their lives in service. After the ceremony, students learned about some of the soldiers buried there and placed a flower and cross on individual graves in their memory. It was a moving and reflective experience for everyone involved.

On Remembrance Sunday, our Head Prefects represented the school by laying a poppy wreath to honour those who have served and sacrificed for our freedom. Many of our students also took part in the parade that took place before the wreath laying.

We are incredibly proud of all our students who contributed to these events and helped uphold the values of respect, remembrance and community.
