Chingford Foundation School

Hear from our Staff

Students at Chingford Foundation School are engaged within their learning environment, motivated to learn and understand the benefits of a dedicated core of staff who want to see them succeed. Within my role, I have the opportunity to build a rapport with students, provide holistic support and gain a detailed insight into how individuals approach learning. Students feel valued, as they appreciate the stimulating and caring environment and the support of staff; and as a result, this leads to a very rewarding career.

Having worked at Chingford Foundation School for 16 years; I can confidently say that I am consistently rewarded and academically challenged on a day to say basis, in terms of student progress and love for learning. Relationships among staff and students are positive, nurturing and welcoming: students trust staff, and this contributes to our family atmosphere: something I believe makes us truly unique. Our offer to students of stimulating lessons, a safe and welcoming environment, caring teachers, clear system of praise and reward, clear boundaries, enrichment provision, sports facilities, passionate and knowledgeable teachers and genuine community culture makes for an exceptional working environment for all staff.

Having worked across both schools within the Trust, I have witnessed the transformational journey and progress that both have been on. Students enjoy coming to school as they feel valued and welcomed, the inclusive community reflects the diversity of cultures within our local community, and success is measured beyond just academia, encouraging every student to realise their potential and take advantage of the opportunities available to them to broaden their horizons. The Trust is all that is good about education.

The staff team at Chingford Foundation School are inspiring: they are friendly, approachable and supportive, and we are united in our commitment to securing the very best outcomes for our students. I fell in love with the school when I met with students, taught a lesson and experienced the community atmosphere for myself, and feel incredibly lucky to teach motivated, ambitious and expressive students, every day.
