Support
In order to appropriately support our students throughout their time with us, they are placed in a tutor group, where students receive support and guidance from their Form Tutor, a member of the Chingford Foundation School teaching staff with whom they have daily contact and who is led by the Head of Year.
Students and families are encouraged to raise any concerns with these pastoral staff to address potential issues early; the pastoral team will access any further support from specialists and can arrange for mentoring to be put in place to support students who would benefit from it most.
Pastoral teams are also on hand to ensure students access advice regarding careers choices and guidance, alongside meetings with an independent Careers Advisor to support in further study and careers planning from Year 8 onwards. Find out more here.
In the case of students struggling with attendance, pastoral teams will seek to put support in place. Where more specialist intervention is needed, our Education Welfare Officer, Mrs P Daniels, is able to provide more support.
Students can access a range of support and resources through our Wellbeing Zone.
