GCSE Results 2019

Chingford Foundation School celebrates an excellent set of 2019 GCSE results. The photo is taken at the prom in July.

We were delighted to celebrate GCSE results with so many of our students on Thursday 22nd August. This was the first year that students took the new more challenging GCSE exams with the 1-9 scale in all GCSE subjects.

73.3% students reached at least grade 4 (the standard pass or previous C grade) in English and Maths, an increase of 4% compared with last year.

We were particularly pleased to see excellent results in English Literature, Business, Media Studies, Chemistry and History.

Our students achieved an amazing 67 of the top Grade 9s with Lily Nelson achieving an incredible ten Grade 9s – in every subject she took. The following students all achieved 8 or more Grade 7, 8 and 9s (the equivalent of As and A*s):

We look forward to welcoming many of our Year 11 students into our 6th form and began enrolment on Thursday 22rd August. Enrolment continues on Wednesday 28th August from 10am to 1pm and Thursday 29th August from 8 – 11 am.
